Proyecto Refugio, A.C. is a non-profit organization in Mexico, dedicated to improving the quality of life of the poor and disenfranchised in Guadalajara, Mexico, by addressing their nutritional, medical & emotional needs. Our goal is to provide not only temporary relief, but to make a lasting difference through providing them with food, quality healthcare & adult job creating and educational programs, thus equipping them with the necessary tools to better the quality of life for both themselves & their families..

Proyecto Refugio's food distribution program provides struggling families, single mothers and the elderly with healthy food packages on a monthly basis.
Daily nutritious, hot, balanced meals for roughly 200 underprivileged children, senior citizens, pregnant and nursing mothers, and mothers in crisis.
El Refugio Clinic provides free health care in the fields of General Family Health Care, Dental Health Care, Psychology, and Ortopedic Care. The clinic also has a free medical dispensary to fill prescriptions at no cost.
The skills training program for underprivileged women seeks to break the vicious cycle of poverty by empowering them with vocational skills and basic tools needed to gain financial independence and improve the quality of life for their families.
